Sponsorship program
Two TCRSA teams. Two national championships. Wayzata YC won the 2024 Sears Cup (Youth). TCRSA won the 2025 Mallory Trophy (Adult). The same junior crew returned as runners-up in 2025. Three podiums in two years. We're proud of our sailors, our clubs, and our community — and we want sponsors who share that pride. Join us and we'll make sure everyone knows it.
The TCRSA story
In 2024, the Wayzata Yacht Club junior team won the Sears Cup — US Sailing's oldest national championship trophy — right here at home on Lake Minnetonka. In 2025, our adult team won the Clifford D. Mallory Trophy in Utah, and the junior team returned to the national championship podium as runners-up.
These are two entirely separate teams — a Wayzata junior crew and an adult team — both reaching the top of the sport in the same two-year window. TCRSA was organized in 2016 to give Minnesota sailors a real path to national competition — connecting clubs, running qualifiers, and sending credentialed teams to US Sailing events. It's working.
The Wayzata Yacht Club junior crew — Dominik Moncur, Stonewall Anderson, Harper Lundeen-Hetland, and Ella Bowers — won the Sears Cup in 2024, then came back with the exact same four sailors and reached the national championship podium again in 2025 as runners-up. Meanwhile the adult team of Kurt Taken-Holtze, Jeff Hames, and Jon Lee won the Mallory Trophy outright in 2025. We're a lean, volunteer-run association with six member clubs across the Twin Cities. Our sailors race on Lake Minnetonka, White Bear Lake, Lake Harriet, and the St. Croix River. They're your neighbors, your colleagues, your kids' sailing instructors. And right now, they're the best in the country.
